Title:
TopCon Positioning Systems, Inc. Announces
G3 Technology
Date:
1/3/06
Detail:
Five years ago Topcon's
GPS+ GLONASS technology virtually eliminated
satellite access problems. Today the new
Topcon G3 technology takes it a step further
by adding the soon-to-be-available European
Union Galileo satellite constellation, which
will eventually have a total of more than
30 satellites.
As the Galileo system continues to populate
itself over the next few years, it will
increase its value by providing fast, accurate,
continual positions and do so in work conditions
that are not imaginable now.
As machines move faster and work in increasingly
challenging environments, you need to have
the best signals and coverage possible.
Having access to all satellites available
(a total of 75) will virtually eliminate
job site downtime, making workdays more
productive, and adding to your company's
bottom line.
To process multiple signals from multiple
satellite systems, Topcon engineered the
new Paradigm-G3 chip. It is capable of receiving
GPS L1, L2 and L5 carrier frequencies; C/A
and L2C civilian codes; and P-code on both
L1 and L2 frequencies. It also receives
GLONASS signals including L1 and L2 carrier
frequencies and L1 / L2 C/A and P-codes.
The entire Galileo signal structure is supported,
including L1, E1, E2, E5, and E6 signals.
The advanced design features 72 tracking
channels and operates with minimal power
consumption.
Topcon California is proud to bring you
technology that will be a driving force
in satellite positioning for the next 10-15
years.
